Each stroke of the tool paints on more of the sample. Press the Control key on the keyboard and click on the area of the image that you want to sample. Then begin drawing the cloned image into the image that you want. This tool is great for removing unwanted parts of an image by cloning the areas around it.
Clone Stamp Toolbar      The Clone Stamp Toolbar gives you the option to change the size, blending mode, opacity and brush flow. You can also choose whether the clone stays aligned when you paint and you can choose to sample all layers or only the active layer.
Pattern Stamp Tool [S] The Pattern Stamp Tool lets you paint with a pattern. You can select a pattern from the pattern libraries or create your own patterns. You select the tool and then choose your pattern from the pattern stamp toolbar.
To create a pattern:
Use the rectangle marquee tool on any open image to select an area to use as a pattern. Feather must be set to 0 px. Note that large images may become unwieldy. Choose Edit > Define Pattern. Enter a name for the pattern in the Pattern Name dialog box.
Note: If you are using a pattern from one image and applying it to another, Photoshop converts the color mode.
Pattern Stamp Toolbar      The toolbar has basically the same settings as the Clone Stamp toolbar. It also has the option to choose the pattern that you wish to use. And you can choose to apply the pattern with an impressionistic effect by checking the Impressionist box.
