Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery

Franklin Township, Henry County, IN

This old cemetery is located in Franklin Township, Henry Co., IN. It is located on CR # 600S in section #12, about ½ mile west of SR #103, just west of Flat Rock.
It was set aside on 13 Dec 1847 as a burial ground for the Ebenezer Baptist church which was located here until about 1882. Abel Wickersham deeded it to trustees Jason Williams, Nelson Sharp and Elisha Clift.
The first recorded burial here was in 1833 and the last known burial was in 1925. It receives a little basic care from the township trustee. Many of the stones are down and/or missing. The big tree in the middle of the cemetery was blown down during a storm. This year (2004) the Henry County Cemetery Commission did a major cleanup in the old cemetery.
