In the matter of the
Purchase of Grounds
And Buildings for the
Henry County Historical Society
Order Purchasing Real Estate
Whereas the Henry County Council has this day passed an Ordinance authorizing the purchase from John M. Morris, Administrator of the Estate of William Grose, deceased, for the use of the Henry County Historical Society, of the following real estate in Henry County, Indiana, for the sum of $4500.00.
Towit:
Commencing on the East line of South Elm Street in New Castle, 514 feet north of the south line of the east half of the northeast quarter of section 15, township 17, range 10; thence north to the south line of McDorman's lot; thence east to the middle of Locust Street; thence south to a point directly east of the beginning point; thence west to the place of beginning.
It is ordered by the Board, that said Board, do now purchase for said sum of $4500.00 said real estate above described for the use and purpose of the Henry County Historical Society and the sum of $1500.00 is to be paid cash and $1500.00 in twelve months from date and $1500.00 in eighteen months from date, said deferred payments bearing interest at 6 per cent from date.
