At a meeting of the members of the Christian Church on Little Blue River, Henry County, Indiana by previous public notice being given more than ten days prior, met at the house of Clement Murphey on the 20th day of November, 1840 for the purpose of more fully organizing said church in accordance with the law, by appointing or electing trustees for said church. Where upon, by motion it was unanimously agreed that Asahel Woodward, Benjamin Harvey, Clement Murphey, Nathan Canaday and William Millikan Sr. be chosen as such board of trustees to serve till their successors be chosen according to law.
     It is further agreed by said meeting that the members of said church proceed immediately to build or erect a church house, or house for worship for said church on a piece of ground of one acre, donated or given by Clement Murphey for that purpose and a burying ground. And after redacting such donation as may be voluntarily made to said church. Then the balance of necessary funds for erecting said house to be raised from the members of said congregation upon the ardorem principle.

     The following is a list of all members who joined the "Little Blue River Church of Christ" from 1839 - 1860. The little country church stayed open for over one hundred and fifty years, finally going under around 1990 when the membership had dropped to only four members and it became too expensive for them to keep it open. The little church building still stands today over-looking the little graveyard.
