Henry County Genealogical Services
Know all men by these presents that Mr. Rene Julian, William Shannon, Asahel Woodward, John Cain, Absalom Harvey, Samuel Howard and Barclay Benbow of the county of Henry and the State of Indiana are held and firmly bound unto the Government of the State of Indiana for the time being and his successors in office in the penalty of two thousand and five hundred dollars for the true payment of which we bind ourselves, our executors, administrators and assign jointly by these presents, sealed with our seal and dated this the seventh day of August, 1822. The condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Rene Julian shall faithfully discharge the duties of the office of Clerk of the Circuit Court in and for the County of Henry, and seasonably to record all the Decrees and Judgments of the said Court, and also, to pay over all sums of money which shall or may come into his hands for the payment or in discharge of any Judgment, order or decree of the said Court to such person or persons as shall by law have a right to demand or receive the same, then this obligation to be void or else remain in full force and the virtue in law, this day and year above written.
